On Monday 17 February 2025, the delegation of the Arab Republic of Egypt: Mohamed Ahmed Abdellatif Ramadan Saad, the Minister of Education and Technical Education with the other officials visited the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and NIER.
First, MEXT explained special needs education, ICT education, CBT system, and curriculum revision process in Japan, and they had a discussion on the practice of Japanese-style education at the Egyptian Japanese School (EJS), and then NIER: Ikeda, Director General; Ono, Director of Dept. for the International Research and Co-operation; Sakurai, Head of the Academic Ability Div. at the Curriculum Research Center explained about an international assessment of student performance and the National Assessment of Academic Ability. We also had a lively discussion.
